ABOUT ELIZABETH

With over 20 years of PA / EA and Management experience, I have worked with family offices – from International Billionaire tycoons to the small and intimate, Entrepreneurs, FTSE 100 CEOs, Founders, High Profile politicians, Investment Companies, Property Developers and Portfolio NEDs.

I have grown up surrounded by successful, high-profile people and learnt from a young age what is expected and how things should get done!

Known for my discretion, problem-solving skills and going above and beyond to get the work done, I pride myself on being detail-oriented, conscientious, highly efficient, a critical yet agile thinker and do-er. I have gravitas hence I have worked for big hitters that need a gatekeeper.

I simply love business and developed my first 25+ years ago whilst I was at university.  I had the first Soup and Juice Bar in Leeds, called Souper Juice with a team of 13 working with me. Some years later having gained experience in the property industry, I saw a gap in the holiday cottage market in the Cotswolds for a good small nimble personally managed management company, so I set one up and managed a number of cottages.

Over the years I have developed my skills, knowledge and experience even further. I saw a gap when it came to supporting entrepreneurs, business owners, busy individuals and couples, who require the help of an EA or PA but don’t want the restrictions, or expense, of hiring a permanent member of staff.  MajorDame has been created to provide high-end boutique support.

When I am not working, I am healthy and keep active, I train in the gym a minimum three times a week, alongside Pilates and Yoga, which is amazing for the mind and body connection. I am an avid SoulCycle fan and love the dark candlelit, mantra-filled, pumping classes. I used to be a PT and Pilates instructor on the side (I like to be busy and learn new skills!) which can be useful for clients when they need a push or ensure health and fitness is scheduled and a priority in their calendar.

I believe strongly that we need to nurture our vagus nerve and be more mindful. I have been doing Transcendental Meditation for years which I find an incredibly valuable tool combined with regular breathwork. I am a sound healing practitioner which I am passionate about. Stress is so damaging to our bodies; we are given one and we should respect and look after it.  I studied to be a life coach (just interested in learning) and I am intrigued by Human Design.

I am creative and love refurbishing properties or working on designs for clients. I refurbished the family pub in Anglesey (my family are big sailors) and Prince William even asked where the wallpaper in the loos was from as he thought it was so fun!

I grew up with horses and rode from the age of four until my mid-thirties; I still ride occasionally. My passion is dressage and I am fortunate that I have trained with two of our Olympic team.  I have had clients that have asked me to find them hunters. That is always a favourite mission, and I am very happy tapping into my connections, driving around the country trying horses and finding the perfect fit for them. My Mother has successfully bred and owned racehorses, one of my favourite things to do with her is the early morning gallops and then breakfast with the trainer.  My grandmother bred show ponies and won championships for decades at all the top shows; horses are in my blood.

I love travel, my favourite places are Mexico (I have even played polo a few times at the most stunning club on the Pacific coast) and I spend time in Ibiza (I do not frequent the big clubs, I prefer low-key island life). The Caribbean was a family favourite winter destination, especially Antigua, Jumby Bay and the BVI’s.

I live in Notting Hill, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in London, and I am a foster Mum for the National Pug Protection Trust, previously I had a pug for fourteen years.  I also spend a great deal of time in the Cotswolds.

I love a challenge and learning, hence I make a great right hand to entrepreneurs. I can throw myself deeply into research and get businesses set up. When I went to be Head of Sales at a systematic FX fund I had no idea about trading, FX, hedge funds or artificial intelligence. I applied myself and within eighteen months created a pipeline of $300m with some of the top investors in that strategy.

Hopefully, this gives you an insight into me and my world and whether we are aligned.

I get a great deal of satisfaction out of being a MajorDame, a true trusted right-hand, indispensable; allowing you to be brilliant at what you do, knowing and trusting everything is in my capable hands.

Thank you for reading – my business mentor told me I had to write about myself otherwise I would not have done so.
